I'm Mia, and I'm originally from Phnom Penh, Cambodia. I'm a recent UCLA graduate (Go Bruins!), and I'm very passionate about science, specifically biochemistry. Learning about biochemistry really opened my eyes up to the power of pharmaceuticals and their consequent therapeutic impact on human health. Using my knowledge, I would like to help those around me, specifically by obtaining my Pharm.D degree and working as an ambulatory care pharmacist to help patients manage their chronic conditions through appropriate medical treatments. During my spare time, I enjoy doing Sudoku, hiking, and ceramics!
What is your teaching style?
I love showing visuals because it really helps students understand the concepts better when they can actually see the process. I also enjoy coming up with analogies and mnemonics to help students memorize and understand their lessons.
