HELLO! I’m Megan! I love all things words: reading, writing, and editing. My favorite memory from high school was discovering the true potential of reading. During my Sophomore year, I read "1984" and was taken aback by the novel's complexity and relatability. I'm indebted to George Orwell for inspiring a lifelong love of reading in me.
When I first walked into MeriEducation for an interview with Joan, I was immediately in love with the sunshiney-good vibes of the center. Over the past few months, I've fallen even more in love with Meri's mission, employees, and OF COURSE, the STUDENTS! I may be the teacher, but my students continuously challenge me to look at the world in exciting and new ways. They keep me sharp and full of energy, and for that I'm incredibly grateful.
What do they say about me?
"Focuses on the areas I need the most help on, and is patient with me. Megan is very helpful and her strategies are effective!"
"Megan is AMAZING!!! We work so efficiently together, we get stuff done. When I take writing next semester, I will definitely work with her!"
What is your teaching style?
As a tutor, it’s my goal to help students realize their fullest potential and instill a sense of self-worth. I urge students to become independent, creative and critical thinkers. I create engaging, active lessons and emphasize the importance of writing skills in everyday life.
