Assistant Director + Academic Coach
I'm a native Southern Californian (and will probably be a lifer, since any temperature below sixty degrees feels like Antarctica to me!). I'm a total bookworm and devour anything from the classics to modern science fiction. My eventual goal is to be a published novelist (I've got a ways to go before I finish!).
What do they say about me?
"I liked that she went above and beyond and looked up Latin and Greek roots to further help me with the vocab section of the test. She also gave me multiple strategies I could pick from for all of the sections we covered. The positive encouragement was very helpful as well. I feel more confident about my abilities."
"Emily is really nice and very encouraging; whenever I make a mistake she focuses on that and asks what my thought process was and we usually figure out what the problem was."
What is your teaching style?
My top teaching tip is to be flexible! Every student is different, and deserves to have their learning experience catered to their needs. I never go into a session determined to teach a concept a certain way. I make it my personal goal to brainstorm methods of helping each student achieve their greatest possible level of success!
